An early start from La Fortuna to get to the hanging bridges before the other tour. this was a 90 minute hike up and over six suspension bridges, wonderful start to the day and the warm rain made it even better, a real rainforest experience.
Then we enjoyed a beautiful one hour ride around Arenal Lake, man made for electric power but now a mega tourist attraction for wind surfers.
Stopped in Fausto 's town for his mothers home made roasted chicken, black bean sauce and coconut flan, continued to Liberia, past the brand new airport and through the farmlands of the dry forest area.
Liberia stop for the mall, liquor store and ice-cream stand.
What a contrast from the wet rain forests.
And now on the Pacific for two days in a five diamond resort, can't say we have ever live in such high class and still can't fathom how this tour company makes any money. At this JW Marriott, they have the largest pool in Central America and an infinity pool that leads right out to the sunset. wow! I hung out at the pool edge to the last ray of sunset. Unforgettable.
