Last travel Blog for this season and thank you

Pura vida
To family and friends for all the travel prayers over the last five months and for all the personal emails that have kept us connected
We have been blessed with good health, good food, good weather and great road conditions.
We have wined and dined with many friends and family along the way and met lots of new friends through Habitat for Humanity Care-a- builds in Sante Fe and Silver City

Deepest gratitude for the safe quick journey home.
Left Sante  Fe, New Mexico 6 am Saturday, March 23 for a very quick trip to Richmond BC arriving Monday night.
That was 3600 kms which took 39 hours of driving time.
We were very pleased to have our own bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with us.
Stops were short, no waiting for service and No uncomfortable beds! To bed at 8 and up at 4 kept us in the New Mexico time zone but also got us on the road for at least three hours of hassle free traffic.
I had done a big cookathon in our villa at Sante Fe the night before we left so meals were all ready for the three days. It can be done!
Though the miles were many, we had a great visit as we reminisced all the great memories of our six pak,now five because of the tragic loss of a real buddy, Bob.
A thirty plus year family relationship with two other families is something very rare and precious. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, special holidays, vacations, each others grandchildren, weddings, graduations and as for us "orphans", we certainly have become "family".
One of our best  memories was an Easter at our home. Parents, children and grandchildren were in teams looking for eggs with secrets. Our naughty 30 year old son, rehid the eggs in a different place after he had recorded his secret!
That same son had Bob in stitches the next Christmas when he had Bobs three year old grandson convinced that their gingerbread men were Star Wars creatures. Those two kids played for hours over the dining room table while Bob laughed until tears came.
After brainstorming four pages of highlights through laughter and tears, I was able to write a very long poem, thanks to the suggestion from Dave's sister Sharon. When the time and place  is right, it will be shared.

So signing off the travel blog until next October except to say to all you Cedro 46 A folks.... Hasta lleugo on July 23 for Whacky Melaque!
Live each day to the fullest, hug the ones you love and be thankful for all the wonderful people in your lives.
