We moved out of our apartment on Monday, Dec 16 and 4 Port Alberians moved in, settling nicely and spending lots of time in the ocean.
We were then in the big house with Shauna and Ken for four sleeps and then house sat for Sue and Jack while they went home for Christmas, Dec20-28. There is no internet there so I thought I would let folks know where to find us in the New Year.
We will take the bus to La Penita on Dec 28, stay with Tony and Gayle until Jan 1, then move into a rented fifth wheel trailer at La Penita RV park, right on the ocean.
Jan 24-31 we will be in Mazatlan at the RCI resort Torres, then have a five day tour of Copper Canyon.
We fly to Quito, Ecuador, do the Galapagos Islands, then Peru for Machu Picchu and an Amazon excursion, back to Vancouver March 22.
We have a week of RCI in Quito and another one in Lima between the intensive tours with G Adventures. Dave is so excited about hiking the Inca Trail and camping along the way for four days. I know I couldn't do the climb with my silly ankle so will be with others in our group who choose not to hike, and spend those days in a cultural tour of Cusco and then take the train up to Machu Picchu and met the rest of our group there.

Dave and wonderful paint volunteers have finished their big job at the Albergue. Even though the temperatures were very high, they perservered. By day three, the little folks were very familiar with the painters and began being little monkeys... Hands in paint, paint on their clothes...... And we all know how fussy Dave is with the finished projects!! Guess I should have been there to act as guard!
So Feliz Navidad everyone and Prospero Año Nuevo!
And thus ended the Christmas festivities.
After a wonderful Christmas Eve service at San-Patricio-by-the -Sea, we hosted a small dinner at Sue and Jacks, listened to all the children visiting the expats Christmas morning and then the big dinner with good friends Christmas Day evening. Such a blessing for us.
Home from swimming, wash your feet.
