Quito, day 3 and 100 photos

Feb 22, 2014
Left our hotel at nine am for a three hour double decker, jump off, jump on bus tour. Nine hours later, we flopped at a dinner table, just in time to watch the bronze men's hockey game!

The photos are a simple dumping the whole card here so I will edit, delete and comment at a later date.

This city was the first to be registered as a UNESCO World heritage City and even though the old town is amazing, the new section has architecture to compete with other world sites.
Dave had the camera today and tried not to miss a thing!! Narrow streets and sharp corners were navigated so well by our very capable river

Our trip up the teleferico to 4100 meters then an extra 300 meter climb is getting us prepared for Cuzco, Peru. I continue to chew cocoa leaves to help adjust to the altitude but Dave only had one twinge on the last part of his hike, started to do the Hillary shuffle.

The landscape is incredible!
Last evenings walk about at Plaza Grande

One of four major plazas in Old town, Plaza San Francisco

We are climbing
