Migrant Worker alberque

January, 2016

Some of the same migrants are back this year and after a very long day in the fields, some women are happy to learn sewing skills.
The paint job held up nicely in spite of the hurricane

The little ones are great welcomers!! Hola and hugs for us all

up to a certain age, the children do not go to the fields, are babysat and fed here at the alberque, one paid Mexican employee and many many Canadian volunteers on a daily basis.

cooking zone, a few women each night do the tortillas and frijoles

Laundry area, such an improvement from last year

the dorms paint job held up well also, big relief for Dave and Rich. See the original paint job and laundry area tiling in last year's posts
