Another week in Paradise

This week was spent on Costa alegre,  the weekly pollo asado for Friday dinner and the weekend with friends in their homes. A fast paced pool volleyball game on Sunday has let us all know that maybe some need to get in shape! Our gracious hosts, Rosemarie and Dan from Fort St John, have a lovely home in Barra on the canal, ordered in pizza for the 20 of us and even had the Grey Cup playing in the background. Yeah Lions.

Biking experiences continue to build memories!!Each time I have been to el centro, I pick up diapers for the DIF in Cihuatlan. Well, the day got ahead of me on Thursday, it gets dark so early, 6:45 and after making my purchase, it was dark. Picture an old lady on a pink bike, weaving through the cobblestone streets, a case of diapers in my basket and one under my left arm, needless to say, feliz to be back at our casa!!

This morning I skipped school to attend a ladies breakfast, yum at Taza Negra, the place we get our fresh ground coffee. Ben has a source for fresh blackberries ad raspberries and his sour cream fruit flans are BUENO. Met three more women from the "almost free" campground next to us, not a bad deal, $130 a month for their mtorhomes. Questioning whether Herbie would be happy there for a winter but at present I prefer having a house so we can have room for company. Hopefully, we can have the same place next year.

Accom hunting with Connie from Gibsons yesterday, she presently has a bungalow in Barra but is considering Jan-Mar in our happening place, west Melaque!! Lots of variety in rooms, prices and apartments.

Dave has finished painting the doors at the new church and now will varnish the 12 supports for the palapa. I must  get some photos.
Off to Colima tomorrow with a van load of Coombs folks and a local guide. Promises to be a fun day.
