Each Tues, Thurs and Sat, at 8:00 am, up to 24 of us meet at Playa Campground.
We head inland through plantations and farmland, past three barrios and are welcomed by children, farmers, migrant workers with a big "Hola, buena dia". 14Kms later, we arrive at Barra De Navidad for a delicous breakfast at Bananas.
The logo on our shirts, translates to "Bacon 500"
Shirts in four colors, this year being red.
The 70 plus age group are inspirations to the rest of us
Trailing behind, photo day enroute as we realize this is our last run for this trip as we head to La Penita in the New Year.
Kinda like biking the Middle Canobie Road
New crop of peppers just planted
One of the barrios, Villa Pinal, I think
Mango trees
cucumber fields
a failed pepper crop. It was overfertilized, I am sure someone is in trouble!
One of the oldest trees in the area
Bring on the breakfast
Maria is sad that this is our last ride for the year but ano proximo is not far away.
