The last week of November

Dec 1, 2012

Another week and month have disappeared!

This week has been pleasantly busy with friends and nob visitors.

Monday was a trip to Manzanillo to spend time with visitors from Nanaimo. The lovely lunch, swim and afternoon together more than made up for the bus trip of a lifetime!
The worst ever of all our bus excursions, we had a hard time figuring out what the hurry was as we left Melaque. This driver was passing everything in sight, not always safely! once in Cihuatlan, we got the answer. It was time for his lenghty lunch and of course some time needed making up from there to Manzanillo, so with cell phone in one hand, desset in the other, steering with his elbows , we experienced part 2 of the trip from Hell! Even the locals on the bus were bug eyed!

Return trip was much more pleasant, at our accustomed  stop and lurch speed.

The last four days have been fun filled as our friends from Sproat Lake and Victoria jumped right into Melaque lifestyle. A major highlight was having Fortino take the six of us in his panga to explore the coasts of Barra, Obergon, San Patrico, Melaque and Cuastacomte, then the canals of Barra and topped off with his sister's (Patricia) usual excellent food on Isla Navidad.

As we passed Bananas in Barra, our bike and breakfast group provided a great performance in their nice new bright tshirts, will get ours on Tuesday.

These friends were also impressed with the walkabout at Grand Bay, nice to see a few more clients there tis time

my rest under the coconut tree while the other five hiked on, could have received a good bonker on the head!

everyone loved the botanical gardens

Esmerelda did her usual for us Sunday morning breakfast and Hosea, at Concha, will have a special treat for dinner tonight.
Fortino takes you where other boats cannot access

Now nearing the end of the first week of December, we want to wish our grandson, Drayson a very Happy Birthday this Friday and on the same day, wish our Miss Kaiya "break a leg" wishes for her ballet role in Nutcracker.
Dec 7 a big day for the family.
