Adios Mexico

Jan 11,  2013

Three new restaurants in La Penita plus the five old regulars made for  great cuisine this last week.
Irma continues to pump out the best chilis rellanos on the west coast of Mexico, Dave ' s four meals from his favorite ceviche place, Hinde. Y Jamie still have the best tacos and El Pollita serves up the huevos ranheros y huevos divorcadios! All of the above at an incredible price. Why would I cook???

Add to our list, the Gallaria on Sat night with the sax player as well as Arabe for our last dinner  of the week. Lucy and her husband from Tunisia sure know how to cook, selecting all their fresh food locally on the day they cook it.

No repeat performance of luggage left behind or not being on the return flight list! This year, I printed off the boarding passes, just to be sure.

Snow on the ground when we touched down in Calgary, a short stopover and on our way to Vancouver to be picked up by Shannon.
The sun is shining , the snow on the moutains and the water sparkling in heir marina sure feels like "Welcome home" after ten weeks.

Now to Edmonton for a grandson fix, then packing up the motorhome for the next three months, doing two builds with Habitat for Humanity in Los Cruces and Silver City, NM, and visiting friends in  Portland,LA, San Diego, Lake Havesu and Sante Fe.

Yes, it does feel like a gypsy life and we love it!
