Lima City Tour

March 2, 2014
Arranged by the gal at the desk of the hotel, we were able to join a group at 9 am and get a good look at the historic district, another UNESCO site.

Given the stat on the population of 9 million folks here and 330 thousand taxis, we have a better understanding of yesterday's ride . There is no public transportation as such but many fast moving buses!

Such a history, pre Incan to Independence

Where to from here?

Well, we head to San Francisco Plaza where we were not allowed to take any photos.
The monastery from the Franciscan  era was incredible, very hard to describe but to remember will be the library with its 25000 books, the murals, the foundation with the catacombs and its 25000 remains and while we were down there, a mass was happening in the church above and the choir sent chills.

Sorry for the sketchy entries lately but between wifi issues and being so busy, there will need to be edits later.
