Feb, 2017

Time flies when you are having fun!

We thought we would have extra time on our hands when we learned there would be no migrant worker project this year. But whew!! January is gone, a blur now.

We are up to 25 people here from Alberni at the present time and they are all coming to our place at 6 tonight! The secret is out, Melaque has been discovered!
In addition to those folks, we have had visitors from Alberni , Roberta, Roger, Lance and Mackie, who stayed in Manzanillo. They came up for the day on the bus and the four of them joined 6  of us for lunch at Garcias.

We got up to Tenacatita, took the Mees, lovely day on the beach then stopped in at Blue Bay on the way home for lunch at La Vena. I was the only swimmer that day.

The Mallons and Wendy arrived Tuesday. We picked them up at the airport after a morning of shopping in Manzanillo. Wendy is staying with Noella and the Mallons are with us.
On the 11th we head to PV for three days with the Mallons who fly home on the 14th.
Hoping to connect with Dave's sister while we are there.

The Art Walk in La Manzanilla was last Sunday so we went up after church. There were 20 venus this year, very talented folks. I was interested in wire art, especially a knee high horse but it had a sold sticker.
Later while sitting on the beach with Charlie and Dawne Burrell we learned that the artist was from Nanoose and it was Dawne who had purchased my horse!
Met Norm and Judy at Pedros for dinner. They head back to Camrose on Wednesday after beiing here since the end of October..
Bumped into Scottie and Josie who shared their news that they were married and had a reception in La Manz. 200 people showed up!
We play May I on Mondays and Sequence on Thursdays, do games night Saturday evenings so I think we have offically joined the retired group!

So you can see, how people and beaches have filled the hours I was concerned about!
Temperatures get into the 30s each day but a lovely breeze makes it very pleasant on our palapa.
Life is good in Melaque.

The Eos is in our bay. Wow! Google it to see the beauty.
