On to Whitehorse for 3 days, day 1, trailer truck care....wash all that mud away! Oil change, windshield repair, brake check and a big laundry and grocery shop.
And of course, a stop at the sausage shop and quilt shop. I now have a project for our Fall retreat.
Day 2 August 4. A full day on the White Pass tour!
Picked up at our campground and bussed to Carcross after a quick stop at Emerald Lake. Was able to get my Tourist Passport stamped. 20 minute top at Carcross then
On to Bennett, BC and Fraser, BC.
Boarded the White Pass train in Fraser on their narrow gauge system and, WOW,!!!
One hour and 45 minutes of engineering feat to Skagway, Alaska. Photos on our FB site tell the story.
Two hours in Skagway and a bus back to Whitehorse.

Wonderful day especially when we discovered Nancy Blair from Port Alberni sitting across the aisle from us on the train! We are in the same community choir back home!
