Today, Dr Woo provided a real treat. Check out utube, Dr. Woo, Melaque, Mexico.
This guy entertained us last December on Mary Anne's palapa, check our last Dec blog. What a treat! He is also very funny as he describes his vist to our fair Vancouver Island...."Coombs in June". As most of his audience at Bungalows Parieso at that time were from Coombs, the hilarity continued for hours.
The expressions on the childrens faces in the video says it all.
Anyhow, back to the initial thought.... Happiness abounds here in our winter retreat. Another utube site to check out is "Melaque 2012 Winter Tourist Season"
This was filmed from the house across the street so we have all the same ocean views and tonight as the sunlight fades, Dave and I sat on the rooftop to watch the evening life... Fisher folks casting, boats returning with bait fish for tomorrow's early morning catch, paddle boarders, children running on the beach, a large yatch dropping anchor right in front of our place, pelicans and frigates swooping, black humming birds checking out our palapa, an egret roosting on the canal tree , gringos pouring out of Concha Restaurant, Felippe putting the last touches on "El Quetzel" for reopenining for the season and our, "no mas tequilla" man, closing the gate on his parking lot.
Sounds... Surf, birds, dogs, children, music, street vendors, miariachi, Tarazan, Oro gas, aaaaaah this is Mexico!
As our Canadian friends said this week, " why are we so lucky?". Lucky to be able to experience this and lucky to feel welcomed and integrated into their world, not to mention the extra store of Vitamin D we receive!!!
Sorry for rambling on in this "pinch me" moment but we do feel truly blessed.
