Back to Melaque and Guadalajara, Mexico
Folks are asking why no updates on the blog.
Family and close friends keep us up to date but I will try to be more consistant with our posts.
My On-line Photo Album is full since Kodak has been merged with Shutterfly and all the past storage has ben merged. I need a quiet afternnon to go in and delete some things. however, when I delete from this online storage, the photos will be deleted from our blog as well. I guess that is okay because now it is history, wonderful history.
Since our arrival, we have done a familiar routine, dinner the first night at Canoa in the marina area of Puerta Vallarta and the 11 o'clock bus to Melaque the next morning.
Grand welcome from Juan and Esperanza and all the folks at Concha, had dinner with Robin and Sandy, then off for the evening with Jack and Sue.
Church was a real treat, so good to see everyone again. The building looks great and the gardens have flourished over the summer. Ron and Nancy did a great service.
After church we head down to Obergon on our bikes to find Roy and Judy. They sold their bikes at the end of the season last year so are out to buy new ones for this year. Dave will be happy to join them with the Tuesday bike riders. Jack brought a beautiful bike down from Vancouver, a beauty, still in its packing crate but will be assembled very shortly. Another biking buddy for the hills. What with all the biking opportunities and the hiking dates with Sandy and Robin, he will be busy.
Meanwhile, I get to do water aerobics in the ocean Mon, Wed and Fri at nine o'clock then of to Spanish class.
Willcjeck in to my elementary school upon return from Guadalajara on the 19th.
Friends arrived drom PA on the 6 th and we visited all their old haunts from last year and on the 10th, we hopped the bus to Guadalajara for a week. Staying at the Guad Plaza Suites in the Plaza Del Sol end of town and have cabbed it downtown for tours, markets, meals and entertainment.
Yesterday we did a six hour tour of Lake Chapala and Ajijic, lovely place with lots of artisans, reminded us a bit of San Miguel but without the big market.
Lunch at Nouvea called Posada something, right on the lake, great food once again.
Today was a walkabout in this area, checking out Plaza del Sol and the girls found some good shopping deals. Tomorrow is Tonala for the day.
Each day ends at the poolside around fourish, happy hour and a different restaurant each night, such flavors!
We head back to Melaque on Saturday and the girls have decided to spend their last four days at our friends in La Penita, new territory, new experience.
Our next company arrives Nov 29 and when they leave, we head for Zihuantago for a week.
Neighbours from PA will be with us Dec 17-28 and then Ken and Shauna arrive on the 29th.
the following photos are from our march trip but we showed all the sites to Dawne and Wendy.
So that is the scoop on the Ronalds, will add more photos when I get my album cleaned up.
